WEDDING WEBSITE FORMAT

We are grateful for the love and support from each and every one of you, and are so excited to celebrate our wedding day with our favorite people! Especially for those coming in from out of the state, we wanted to share some of our favorite activities and dining spots in the area to help you make the most of your visit.

Activities We Recommend

Explore Lake Minnetonka: As an occupational hazard of being competitive swimmers, our favorite places happen to be anywhere near the water. If you have some free time, we highly recommend renting a paddle board, kayak or bike at Wai Nani (wainanisup.com/) to enjoy one of our “Happy Places". If you are feeling ambitious, Lake Minnetonka Regional Trail is a 16 mile stretch in the South West Metro that passes by the lake.

Shopping and Strolling: One of our favorite places to “shop and stroll” is downtown Excelsior which is located 15 minutes away from The Hotel Landing and 10 minutes from Holiday Inn and Suites - Chanhassen. We have spent many Sunday afternoons discovering treasures at local shops. If you’re open to an adventure, the Mall of America (MOA) is 30 minutes from both hotel blocks and is one of our favorite spots. It features over 500 shops, 60 restaurants, Nickelodeon Universe (amusement park) and SEA LIFE Aquarium.

Art and Culture:  Minnesota has a vibrant art scene. Amelia grew up with her family taking her to the Minneapolis Art Institute, The Walker Art Center, Minneapolis Sculpture Garden, the Guthrie Theater, local art fairs, and walking into many local art galleries. It’s always a treat to explore the creative side of town.

Our Favorite Local Dining Spots

CoV Wayzata: This spot blends Midwest comfort and hospitality with the charm of a coastal town through the view of Lake Minnetonka and menu. The atmosphere is laid-back, and the food is fresh and delicious. They offer dine-in, takeout, and delivery for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

(Coastal | American, Wayzata)

6Smith: If you’re looking for fine dining, this is the place to go. You can't go wrong with their aged steaks, savoring the freshest seafood, or enjoying a crafted cocktail, we know you’ll have an unforgettable meal. The views from their lakeside patio are breathtaking, and the atmosphere is the perfect mix of modern sophistication and cozy comfort. We hope you’ll take some time to
unwind here and enjoy everything 6Smith has to offer. It’s a dining experience you won’t want to miss! (Steakhouse, Wayzata)

Red Cow: Nolan is a burger guy, through and through. Before we met in college, this was one of his favorite restaurants in Minnesota. Red Cow's claim to fame is the 60/40 burger featuring 60% beef and 40% ground bacon (we both love it). They offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, so if you’re looking for a more casual spot with great food, this it.

(American | Wayzata, Edina, Uptown, North Loop)

American Legion: If you have frequented an American legion, you know what you are getting yourself into. They offer breakfast, lunch, dinner, cheap drinks along with live music on Fridays, and meat raffles on Sundays if you plan to stay in town after we get married. (Dive Bar, Wayzata)

Tequila Butcher & Speakeasy: Looking for tacos 5 minutes away from the Holiday Inn & Suites - Chanhassen? You'll find delicious barbacoa cooked over a wood-fired smoker and an impressive selection of tequila. Interested in a Speakeasy? (Hispanic, Chanhassen)
